Soy Wax for Pillar Candles (Notes)

Soy Wax for Pillar Candles has a higher melting point than your regular soy wax.

Caution: This can't be used on its own or at a rate higher than 50% because it will bloom. (Photos to follow)

Tools used: 4cm (Diameter) Pillar candle mold (Acrylic mold), Mini electric stove, 1.2L Pitcher, Spatula, Infrared thermometer, Foil, Soy Wick

We achieved our desired results with this FORMULA:

Soy wax for Pillar Candles 42%

Beeswax 42%

Coconut Oil 10%

Fragrance Oil 6%

We heated the candle mold and wrapped it in foil.

Melting Temperature|Fragrance Oil Mixing Temperature|Pouring Temperature: 200|185|135

Here are some photos from the different formulas we have tried:

Frosting observed:

We added coconut oil and re-heated and the frosting was very minimal.

Uneven sides:

We heated the jar and poured the wax towards the middle to solve this.

The most successful formula (the first candle):

Sides were smooth and burned evenly.
